On June 10,the first CKD6S locomotive has rolled off the line in Ziyang,Sichuan,marking the wonderful debut of the first batch of achievements of the joint construction of the Belt and Road between China and Kazakhstan in the field of rail transit.
During the Belt and Road Forum in October 2023,witnessed by President Tokayev of Kazakhstan,CRRC signed a cooperation agreement with Kazakhstan Temir Zholy National Company.The CKD6S locomotive that went offline this time is the first locomotive of the agreement,which will be used for shunting operations in various locomotive depots throughout Kazakhstan to ensure the normal operation of China Railway Express.The delivery of locomotives will further enhance the depth and breadth of cooperation between China and Kazakhstan in the field of rail transit,and provide assistance for promoting Kazakhstan's economic development.
The CKD6S locomotive is China's first shunting locomotive used for EAC certification.This locomotive is specially developed by CRRC Ziyang Co.,Ltd.for the personalized needs of Kazakhstan railways.It has a wide temperature range adaptability and is designed to strengthen cold resistance for locomotive components such as the driver's cab in extremely cold operating environments of-50℃.At the same time,it also takes into account the ventilation and cooling requirements of the summer limit of+50℃.The locomotive is equipped with diesel engines with independent intellectual property rights and advanced technologies such as electronic controlled fuel injection,which have the characteristics of low fuel consumption and low emissions.It fully meets the UIC·IIIA emission standards and has reached the international advanced level.
As of now,CRRC has been providing locomotive products and services to Kazakhstan for more than 20 years,and has successively provided over 200 locomotives to Kazakhstan.As an important enterprise under CRRC and a leader in the export of diesel locomotives in China,CRRC Ziyang Co.,Ltd.has deeply implemented the Belt and Road Initiative and continued to provide products,technologies and services to customers around the world.At present,it has exported more than 1100 diesel locomotives to 34 countries,accounting for more than 50%of China's total export of diesel locomotives.
