On Jan.4,CRRC Ziyang Locomotive Co.,LTD.,a subsidiary of China Railway Rolling Stock Co.,LTD.(CRRC Ziyang),signed an online contract for locomotive spare parts worth more than$30 million with railway users in Turkmenistan.This is the largest locomotive spare parts contract signed between China and Turkey since the 31st anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties.
As the country's diesel locomotive export leader,From 2004 to 2016,CRRC Ziyang has provided a total of 251 units/section of high-power internal combustion passenger locomotives,high-power internal combustion freight locomotives and internal combustion switching locomotives to Turkmenistan,becoming the largest supplier of rail transit equipment in Turkmenistan.Eighty percent of the country's freight volume is borne by Ziyang Locomotive.
Due to the good performance of Ziyang locomotive and CRRC Ziyang Company's high-quality after-sales service,In 2022,customers in Turkmenistan chose CRRC Ziyang again.The two sides overcame the impact of the COVID-19 and signed a contract for 15 sets of 30 section double locomotive reconnection trunk freight diesel locomotives.This is the largest order for diesel locomotive that our country has received from Turkmenistan in the past ten years.After the completion of this order,CRRC Ziyang will provide a total of 281 locomotives per car to Turkmenistan.
The signing of the locomotive spare parts contract is a new milestone in the in-depth cooperation between the two sides,marking that the two sides have entered a new stage of strategic cooperation from the bulk supply of vehicles to the large-scale supply of locomotive spare parts.
Up to now,CRRC Ziyang has exported more than 1,100 locomotives of various types to 33 countries and regions around the world,accounting for more than 50%of China's diesel locomotive exports.（Liu xiuzhen）
