A special international event displaying “smart” new technology and new product cloud docking technology and anti-epidemic application in Chengdu — jointly sponsored by Chengdu Science and Technology Bureau and five other departments — was launched through an online Chinese-English simultaneous live broadcast on March 26.

In the cloud docking activity, 17 new products from Chengdu, based on scientific and technological innovations for epidemic prevention — such as Maccura nucleic acid detection box and light start thermometric helmet — were introduced. A total of 218 new products for epidemic prevention made in Chengdu were released in virus detection, drug screening, medical devices, epidemic prevention management and other fields.
"It's very important to get information on scientific and technological epidemic prevention products. This global cloud docking activity provides such a channel." Through the live broadcast, Agustina Casavalle, Deputy Consul General of Uruguay Consulate General in Chongqing, noticed a number of anti-epidemic products from Chengdu, including intelligent anti-epidemic helmets, disinfection machines, 5G remote diagnosis and treatment, etc.“I'm very interested in these intelligent products and hope to further connect and facilitate the business of products,” she said.

Chengdu Science and Technology Bureau will also work with relevant departments to carry out cloud docking activities of Chengdu’s “smart” new technology and new products in the fields of electronic information, bio-medicine and intelligent manufacturing so as to promote Chengdu-made high-tech products in China and the world.
According to statistics, 1.68 million people globally watched the live broadcast and its playbacks. Nearly 1,000 enterprise representatives have conducted in-depth communication with each other, including 35 foreign-funded enterprises in Chengdu. Intended cooperation for more than 30 projects was reached at the event.(By Edina Liang)
